The CW is becoming DCTV.

The Arrow/Flash spinoff is a go and has a title: DC’s Legends of Tomorrow.

DC Comics and The CW announced the new super hero team show that’s set within the Arrow and Flash universe got a green light for next season.

Here’s the official synopsis:

“When heroes alone are not enough…the world needs legends. Having seen the future, one he will desperately try to prevent from happening, time-traveling rogue Rip Hunter is tasked with assembling a disparate group of both heroes and villains to confront an unstoppable threat — one in which not only is the planet at stake, but all of time itself. The CW network’s roster of DC heroes and villains is about to get even bigger.

Producers of Arrow and The Flash are planning a spinoff featuring characters from both shows according to Deadline.

Brandon Routh as Ray Palmer aka The Atom, Victor Garber who played Dr. Martin Stein of Firestorm, Wentworth Miller as Captain Cold and Caity Lotz as Sara Lance/Black Canary will be in the cast.

ARROW/FLASH SUPERHERO TEAMUP SPINOFF

Guest stars of Arrow and The Flash are on target for a new spinoff next season.

Fans were expecting a spinoff starring Brandon Routh as Ray Palmer aka The Atom but the new CW series could be even bigger.

The untitled project will be a superhero team-up starring Routh as The Atom, Victor Garber as Dr. Stein of Firestorm, Wentworth Miller as Captain Cold and Caity Lotz who played Sara Lance – the first Black Canary on Arrow.

“I have learned that the network has teamed with Arrow creators Greg Berlanti, Andrew Kreisberg and Marc Guggenheim for a project eyed for next season toplined by Brandon Routh, Victor Garber, Wentworth Miller and Caity Lotz.” said Deadline reporter Nellie Andreeva. DC Comics and The CW revealed a first look of Brandon Routh at The Atom.

It’s huge news for fans of the Justice League legend famous for getting small.

Routh joined Arrow this season as Dr Ray Palmer, new owner of Oliver Queen’s company.

This season we’ve seen Palmer in the labs working with the A.T.O.M. prototype getting closer to his big discovery that give him the power to go microscopic.

There’s a growth spurt of size changing heroes in comic book inspired mediums.

Getting small is big time in Marvel movies and DC inspired television.

Paul Rudd is playing Scott Lang in Marvel’s Ant-Man in 2015. The master thief is recruited by Hank Pym (Michael Douglas) to protect his invention – Pym particles allowing a human to shrink to insect size and a helmet that lets him communicate with insects.
