Paranoia infects the Marvel Universe as seen by a new round of teasers for a big event coming in September. After the “Is He?” teaser my speculation hinted at the death or return of a major character or a something connected to the upcoming Inhumanity event.
With this latest round of teasers we now know it’s the Inhumans! In the aftermath of Infinity and Black Bolt’s conflict with Thanos – it’s possible the Terrigen Mist (which give young Inhumans their powers) will spread to the Earth’s surface…and the human population. Inhumans – I love ’em. There’s an Inhumanity event coming and brand new series by Matt Fraction in 2014 but the Inhumans are front and center in the coming war with Thanos.

The Inhumans are one of my all-time favorite teams in comics and their leader, Black Bolt, is one of the most fascinating characters in comics. I was thrilled to learn the Inhumans will rise up to play a major role in the fight against Thanos during the Infinity event.
I’m excited to share the news from Marvel about Inhumanity! One of my favorite writers, plus one of the most dynamic artists will chronicle the next evolution of the Inhumans in a brand new series.

Fans are wondering about the cinematic debut of Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch. Joss Whedon will use the brother and sister in Avengers 2 for Marvel/Disney. Bryan Singer has cast Evan Peters as Quicksilver in X-Men Days of Future Past. Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch are the children of Magneto created as villains in the X-Men comics but went on to become longtime members of Earth’s Mightiest Heroes.
The next Disney vs. Fox characters in question could be The Inhumans. Disney controls the Avengers. Fox controls film rights to The Fantastic Four which is currently being rebooted.
