New enemies strike, members of the Dark Knight’s family return and is the Batman Boot Camp breaking up?

In the aftermath of losing Tim Drake and “Strange” attacks in Night of the Monster Men, James Tynion IV launches his second arc of Detective Comics with thrills, mystery and feeling with the welcome return of a Gotham citizen who gave up the mask.

The Victim Syndicate begins with a fan-favorite couple reunited at the site of a horrible event with a haunting but familiar use of the Bat symbol and ends with evil party crashers.

BATWOMAN REBIRTH in 2017

Batwoman will be starring in her own series again in 2017.

DC Comics announced writer Marguerite Bennett (DC Comics Bombshells) and artist Steve Epting will launch a new ongoing book starring Kate Kane.

BATWOMAN: REBIRTH arrives in February, with BATWOMAN #1 in March.

Fans can currently see Batwoman co-star with the Dark Knight in Detective Comics by James Tynion IV as co-leaders of a “Batman Boot Camp” training a team of Gotham’s young vigilante heroes including Spoiler, Cassandra Cain, Tim Drake and Nightwing.

Bennett and Tynion will co-write the first arc and prelude story in Detective Comics this January.

The new book will mark Steve Epting’s first work for DC in more than fifteen years.

“Batwoman is yet another example of the character depth, richness and diversity present in Gotham City,” said Batman Group Editor Mark Doyle. “Fans have really responded to her role in DETECTIVE COMICS, and we all love Kate here in the Bat-office, so that made it an easy choice to return her to a solo series.” Continue reading BATWOMAN REBIRTH in 2017

FIRST DC REBIRTH Crossover in BATMAN Books

Monsters are coming to Gotham City. The Batman family will unite to stop them.

Batman #1 arrived this week kicking off a new era with a new creative team for the Dark Knight. DC Comics announced the first crossover event of the DC Rebirth era coming this fall.

Bruce Wayne is back as the Dark Knight with Duke Thomas (new costume, no code name yet) as his partner in fighting crime. Dick Grayson returns to his Nightwing code name and costume. Batman and Batwoman are co-leading Detective Comics.

New DC REBIRTH Comics for June 8, 2016

The iconic books the launched the Dark Knight and Man of Steel go in bold new directions while three iconic heroes get new beginnings as DC Comics Rebirth continues.

It’s a week so big we had to have a two sets of new comics picks of the week featuring an all DC edition of picks starting with Rise of the Batmen.

Detective Comics #934

The Dark Knight and Batwoman together. Bruce Wayne and Kate Kane lead the next generation of heroes (Cassandra Cain, Stephanie Brown, Tim Drake and Clayface?) as a mystery predator is outdoing Batman.
