BATMAN: THE KILLING JOKE Animated Movie

What many fans calling the ultimate Joker story will become an animated movie.

DC Entertainment/Warner Bros. revealed the three DC Universe Original Movies coming in 2016, including an adaptation of the classic, Batman: The Killing Joke.

The big news followed a world premiere at San Diego Comic-Con with Bruce Timm’s latest animated movie, Justice League: Gods and Monsters, featuring Timm’s radical new take on Justice League icons.

Batman: The Killing Joke is the classic graphic novel written by Alan Moore and drawn by Brian Bolland with a potential (but not exactly trustworthy) origin for the Joker. DC Comics announced legendary creator Frank Miller will return to complete the trilogy in the Dark Knight Saga today at the Chicago event. Miller will work with Brian Azzarello on the eight-part story that picks after The Dark Knight Strike Again.
