Could Batman have saved Robin?

Damian Wayne died in Batman, Incorporated but the aftermath has continued in the excellent Batman and Robin series by Peter J. Tomasi and Patrick Gleason. Since Robin’s death the series became Batman and a guest star as members of the Batman family joined Bruce in the road to recovery.

This week’s Batman and Nightwing #23 is the final steps to acceptance. It’s violent, painful and demonstrates the lasting power of Bruce and Richard.

I don’t want to give away the story twists and the emotional finale but I will tell this is an incredible issue for fans of Dick Grayson as he comes back to the Batcave for one final fight with Continue reading BATMAN AND NIGHTWING #23 The Final Fight

BATMAN #23 Review

Batman #23 courtesy DC Comics
Batman #23 courtesy DC Comics

Batman #23 is the best chapter yet in Zero Year as we experience the moment Bruce becomes the Bat.

You think you the story of Batman but Scott Snyder and Greg Capullo are making the origin exciting, gripping and new.

We jump right into a violent confrontation between Bruce and the Red Hood Gang. Snyder and Capullo messed with Bruce with cruel, creepy, manipulative methods through the Court of Owls and Joker in their previous arcs. The Red Hood Gang leader sadistically beats Bruce physically and emotionally as he shares the twisted connection between them and the night his parents were murdered.
