ARROW Casts RA’S AL GHUL

DC Comics announced Matt Nable (Riddick, The Killer Elite) has been cast as Ra’s Al Ghul on The CW series Arrow. The super villain was mentioned in Season Two but will be the main nemesis for Season Three.

 

Ra’s Al Ghul is the immortal leader of the League of Assassins from Batman comics and producers describe this version “as proud and unforgiving, Ra’s is a ruthless strategist, a master of martial arts, and a shaper of history. In Detective Comics Futures End the Dark Knight and master of manipulation are working together as allies?

September 2014 is the third anniversary of The New 52 reboot of the DC Universe. Every book this month is jumping five years into the future.
“Anniversary” by regular Detective Comics co-writer Brian Buccellato is set in the near future but ties into two recent arcs.
It’s the anniversary of The Zero Year Blackout (from Scott Snyder’s Batman: Zero Year New 52 origin of the Dark Knight) and Calendar Man is threatening Gotham City. JASON FABOK Joins JUSTICE LEAGUE

After drawing the Dark Knight Jason Fabok is taking on DC’s biggest heroes.

 

DC Comics announced Fabok will join Geoff Johns with Justice League #36 this November.

The artist tells Buzzfeed how he got the news:
