Happy 77th!

DC Comics proclaimed this #BatmanDay with celebrations in comic books shops the country.

Writer Bob Kane with artist Bill Finger created this iconic hero in Detective Comics #27 in 1939 as the Bat Man.

Bruce Wayne would later be known as Batman, The Dark Knight, The World’s Greatest Detective, Caped Crusader but always an inspiring hero.

On the big screen Ben Affleck will play the Dark Knight again in Justice League next year and in a new standalone Batman film.

Batman Day Returns.

Bruce Wayne is missing and presumed dead and Jim Gordon is the all-new Dark Knight patrolling Gotham City in high-tech armor.

Batman #41 ushered in major changes to the Batman books. Today DC Comics revealed the continuation of an annual celebration of the Dark Knight.

DC Comics is planning something special for every Batfan of every era for the Dark Knight’s 75th Anniversary.
