In the Batman Beyond mythos, Terry McGinnis works for an aging Bruce Wayne who’s retired from being the Batman. McGinnis investigates the corrupt Wayne-Powers, a merged corporation including the former Wayne Enterprises and Powers Technology after a hostile takeover. The New 52: Futures End #1 is finally in comic book shops. Fans got a first look at the new weekly series from DC Comics with a Zero issue on Free Comic Book Day.

 

Set 5 years in the future – an unlikely cast of heroes must stop disaster and change destiny.

FUTURES END Begins

DC Comics goes into the future with a new weekly series by an all-star creative team. The New 52 Futures End by Dan Jurgens, Jeff Lemire, Keith Giffen and Brian Azzarello kicked off on Free Comic Book Day with a free zero issue.

 

In an apocalyptic future Bruce Wayne sends Terry McGinnis back in time to prevent the enslavement of the Justice League and most of humanity. The story picks up 5 years from the present as Batman Beyond takes the lead to reshape destiny. This is The New 52 debut of Terry/Batman Beyond.

The first Saturday of May is the official Free Comic Book Day at participating comic book stores.
