Major changes for two members of the Batman family ahead of DC Comics Rebirth.

Batman and Robin Eternal #26 marked the finale of the weekly series. It was the end of the Bat-family’s war with Mother and a new beginning for Cassandra Cain.

Scott Snyder and James Tynion IV were the show runners of the weekly series with a team of writers and artists. The duo wrote the big finish.

The story featured nearly every sidekick of Bruce Wayne and was The New 52 introduction of Cassandra Cain.

Cain chose an appropriate new code-name and one young hero is turned in the mask at the end of this final issue.

Will Damian Wayne rise again?

Batman and Robin writer Peter J. Tomasi tweeted this cover to issue 38 by artist Patrick Gleason.

(The cover is a SPOILER so we have it later down in the post in case you don’t want to see.)

Robin Rises is the story of the Dark Knight trying to recover and resurrect his son’s body.

Tomasi’s earlier tweets promise a “big reveal” in issue 37.

Damian’s body was taken by Glorious Godfrey. Bruce (in his Hellbat uniform) and allies (Dick Grayson, Batgirl, Red Hood) pursued into Apokolips and it looks like the Dark Knight will use dark magic and science of Darkseid’s realm to bring his child back to life.
