Big changes for Barbara Gordon as fans wait to celebrate her 50 years as Batgirl in early 2016.

Current creative team (Cameron Stewart, Brenden Fletcher, Babs Tarr) brought new energy and acclaim with the “Batgirl of Burnside” and it looks the whole Bat-verse is building up to a major shift.

YVONNE CRAIG RIP

RIP Yvonne Craig.

The actress is best known for playing Barbara Gordon/Batgirl on the 1960’s Batman television series has died. Yvonne Craig died at 78 after a fight with breast cancer according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Craig join the show on it’s third and final season but the image of the smart costumed crimefighter will never be forgotten.

There’s was a heightened sense of excitement when you saw Batgirl zoom across the credits on her motorcycle. This Batgirl cover was an homage of Purple Rain but it took me right back to watching Batman returns after school. Continue reading YVONNE CRAIG RIP

After a two month break, Barbara Gordon is back but she’s a target of the all-new Batman in Batgirl #41 this week.

Creative team Cameron Stewart, Brenden Fletcher and Babs Tarr ramp up the stakes and drama for the big her of Gotham’s Burnside after a creative shift that paid off in huge acclaim and inspired the recent launch of Black Canary by Fletcher and Annie Wu.
