Aaron Taylor-Johnson is in talks to play Quicksilver in Avengers: Age of Ultron. The mutant criminal (and son of Magneto) turned Avenging hero is one of the most divisive characters in Marvel Comics.
While promoting Kick-Ass 2 the star was asked about the appeal of Quicksilver.

Joss Whedon and the cast and creative team of Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. answered fan questions and previewed the upcoming series in a special Marvel liveblog. The new series will be set in The Avengers universe following the Iron Man 3. Clark Gregg reprises his role as Agent Phil Coulson in the series. “She might wear a headband or something that might echo it. The guys at Marvel, the conceptual artists, are phenomenal, and they are so good at taking the essence of what works and interpreting it for the actual human body, and when they paint something you can not only tell how it’s gonna work on a person, you can even tell what fabric it’ll be.
