Marvel faced the fans at the Avengers Now panel at San Diego Comic Con following last week’s triple shot of announcements with big changes for the big three Avengers.

Sam Wilson will become the All-New Captain America #1 by Rick Remender and Stuart Immonen. A woman will wield the hammer in a brand new Thor #1 by Jason Aaron and Russell Dauterman. Tony Stark will get a change of armor and attitude in Superior Iron Man #1 by Tom Taylor and Yildiray Cinar.

Rick Remender said Wilson will “earn the mantle” in Captain America #25. A new Nomad (Ian, the son of Armin Zola from Dimension Z) will be new sidekick and Steve Rogers, now in his 90’s and without the Super Soldier Serum, will be an advisor.

Marvel announced Captain America and The Mighty Avengers by Al Ewing & Luke Ross coming in November. No word on if this is a brand new series or a renaming of the current Mighty Avengers by Ewing. Continue reading Marvel AVENGERS NOW! SDCC Panel

Two more pieces of the Ultron vs. Avengers battle revealed. Fans at San Diego Comic Con keep getting first looks at character posters for Avengers: Age of Ultron.

Today is a triple shot (of sorts) as we see Quicksilver (Aaron Taylor-Johnson) and Hawkeye (Jeremy Renner) in battle against the army of Ultrons. The only Avenger left is Hulk who we caught a glimpse of in the Black Widow poster.

In the Quicksilver concept art you can see what might be the Vision flying above the war zone. Paul Bettany (voice of Jarvis in Iron Man) will portray the android. The look of the Vision is a concept to watch especially after yesterday’s announcement that the Vision will return and be redesigned for Avengers: Rage of Ultron graphic novel coming next year before the movie. Director James Gunn is on board for one more Marvel movie but it may not be Guardians 2.

It may be Thunderbolts?

“Thunderbolts? I will tell you, one time I was saying to Kevin [Feige], we were sitting on set together on one of the days he visited and I said, ‘You know, I really want to make Thunderbolts,’ and he said, ‘James, if Guardians does well you’ll be able to do whatever you want so we’ll see what happens,” Gunn told Screen Rant.

Which version could make it to the big screen?

Like the Guardians, the Thunderbolts have been though many rosters and twists on the concept. Continue reading GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY Director on THUNDERBOLTS

Marvel Chief Creative Officer Joe Quesada revealed Sam Wilson will be the new Captain America on Comedy Central’s Colbert Report.

Steve Rogers recently had the Super Soldier Serum sucked out of his body by the Red Nail. Without the serum, Rogers is now a frail man in his 90’s.

Quesada revealed Rogers will reach out to his former sidekick to take over as the Sentinel of Liberty.

Sam Wilson is known as the Falcon. Wilson was created by Stan Lee and Gene Colan in 1969 and is the first African-America super hero in mainstream comics. Wilson joined the Star-Spangled Avenger in 1972 in the renamed book: Captain America and Falcon. Continue reading FALCON Will Be NEW CAPTAIN AMERICA
