INFINITY is here!

Thanos wants something hidden on Earth. The Builders want to destroy and remake Earth. The Avengers face an impossible war in space and on the homeworld. I love the big space operas but they don’t always work so I wanted to share part of this story on how Jonathan Hickman’s series will compare.

Infinity is the latest in long line of Marvel sci-fi space epics like the Kree-Skrull War, Operation Galactic Storm, The Infinity Gauntlet and more. Executive Editor Tom Brevoort tells Marvel.com how this new limited series compares to previous space sagas:

Aaron Taylor-Johnson is in talks to play Quicksilver in Avengers: Age of Ultron. The mutant criminal (and son of Magneto) turned Avenging hero is one of the most divisive characters in Marvel Comics.

While promoting Kick-Ass 2 the star was asked about the appeal of Quicksilver.

Taylor-Johnson points out his that he was still in talks but according to the story with Total Film, he has clearly been doing his research: Continue reading KICK-ASS Star on Quicksilver in AVENGERS: AGE OF ULTRON

Heaven’s most fearsome Angel vs. the Guardians of the Galaxy!

The Age of Ultron finale unleashed a powerful new force into the Marvel Universe. Angela (a co-creation of Neil Gaiman in Todd McFarlane’s Spawn series) was pulled in the Marvel 616 in Age of Ultron #10… and she’s not happy about it!

Gaiman joins Brian Michael Bendis on Guardians of the Galaxy #5 which picks up Angela’s adventures in the Marvel Universe with art by Sara Pichelli.

Earlier Bendis talked about the consequences of Age of Ultron and how Angela came into the Marvel Universe: Continue reading ANGELA In GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY

Scarlet Witch’s Look in Avengers: Age of Ultron

Scarlet Witch will join Earth’s Mightiest Heroes in Avengers: Age of Ultron but don’t expect her signature look.

Director Joss Whedon gave hints of how Wanda might look on the big screen in a chat with The Nerdist.

“She might wear a headband or something that might echo it. The guys at Marvel, the conceptual artists, are phenomenal, and they are so good at taking the essence of what works and interpreting it for the actual human body, and when they paint something you can not only tell how it’s gonna work on a person, you can even tell what fabric it’ll be. They are very specific, very talented. So I’m excited to see the designs. Continue reading Scarlet Witch’s Look in Avengers: Age of Ultron

Hank Pym in ANT-MAN Movie?

Age of Ultron #10AI
Age of Ultron #10AI

Founding Avenger and Ultron creator will not appear in Avengers: Age of Ultron. Director Joss Whedon will develop a new origin for the evil artificial intelligence but Hank Pym will get his big screen moment.

io9 reports that director Edgar Wright will include Hank Pym in his Ant-Man film. Hank Pym, Scott Lang and Eric O’Grady have all worn the tiny helmet in the comic books.

After events of the Age of Ultron comic book series Hank Pym is leading a new team of cyborgs and robots in Avengers A.I. by Sam Humphries. Scott Lang is currently wearing the Ant-Man gear in FF (the replacement Fantastic Four) by Matt Fraction. O’Grady has been a member of the Secret Avengers and Thunderbolts. Who Will Play Ultron in AVENGERS: AGE OF ULTRON (Strictly Theory)

This is just a theory:

Joss Whedon will pit Earth’s Mightiest Heroes against what some consider their greatest enemy (he gets my vote!) in 2015.

Marvel announced that the sequel to Earth’s Biggest Moneymaker will be Avengers: Age of Ultron.

Whedon said the new film will not be based on the recent Age of Ultron storyline by Brian Michael Bendis and will not follow the same comic book origins. Founding Avenger, original Ant-Man and Ultron creator Hank Pym will not appear in the sequel. (See it here on Marvel.com.)

Which ignites at least two big burning questions: Continue reading Who Will Play Ultron in AVENGERS: AGE OF ULTRON (Strictly Theory)
