A kiss is not just a kiss! DC Comics announced via IGN a brand new Superman/Wonder Woman series by Charles Soule (Swamp Thing) and Tony Daniel (Action Comics, Detective Comics, Batman) that will explore the blooming relationship between the ultimate power couple. Tony Daniel shared this promo art for the new book on his Facebook page.
The new cinematic Superman (Henry Cavill) fell in love with Lois Lane (Amy Adams) on the big screen in Man of Steel. In DC Comics history Clark married Lois but when the publisher rebooted the entire DC Universe (The New 52) Clark was a single man and fell for the Amazon. Kal and Diana first shared a kiss in Justice League #12 but they’ve kept their romance a secret but Batman found out!
Superman/Wonder Woman #1 arrives this October. When the couple first hooked up DC writers said this was the “new status quo” and not just a stunt. Could the success of Superman and Wonder Woman’s comic book romance lead to the cinematic debut of the Amazon princess in a Man of Steel sequel or Justice League film.
