Superman – Back to full power in 2016.

This year saw The Man of Steel fall after losing his powers after gaining a massive new power. Following Convergence which relaunched DC with a less powerful Superman, all-new Batman and new costume for Wonder Woman – it’s getting back to the icons we know and love.

Stripped of powers and his secret identity exposed, the iconic hero was down in the Truth arc but will rise soar again as revealed in the DC Comics March 2016 previews.

Kal El’s return to greatness begins in January with The Savage Dawn featuring Clark’s rematch with Vandal Savage – who will be the main villain on Legends of Tomorrow.

For now it’s about the return of Superman

In Superman #50 by Gene Luen Yang and Howard Porter. Here’s the official description of the big issue:
“Superman returns in all his glory in this very special issue that sees the Man of Steel back to full power as he faces his greatest enemy and also comes face to face with the pre-Flashpoint Kal-El! At last, it’s the meeting of the Supermen you’ve been waiting for!”

Savage Dawn continues in March with Action Comics #50 by Greg Pak and Aaron Kuder:

“Clark battles his way through Vandal Savage’s hordes to reclaim what is rightfully his—the Fortress of Solitude and his birthright!”

Then concludes in Superman/Wonder Woman #27 by Peter J. Tomasi and  Doug Mahnke:

“A comet drawn by Vandal Savage to Earth is wreaking havoc across the globe—and empowering his children in the most dangerous way possible!”

Will Superman regain his secret identity following his return to full power too?
