A web of excitement spinning from the Marvel Superior Spider-Man panel at San Diego Comic Con but the big story is Superior Spider-Man vs. Venom!
Otto Octavius will take on Flash Thompson this November in Darkest Hours by superstar team Dan Slott and Humberto Ramos!
“Because Flash has a history with Peter Parker and Doc Ock is now Spider-Man, there’s going to be a lot of friction,” said Spidey Editor Steve Wacker.
“This is the first time Flash is going to be up against Superior Spider-Man. We worked really hard to keep these characters away from each other up until this point,” added writer Dan Slott.
Wacker took on a fan’s question about why Doc Ock was the villain to finally defeat Peter Parker.
“One of the reasons it works for me is that Doc Ock seems like a messed up version of Peter Parker. A smart guy with a messed up youth who could be Peter had he gone another direction,” Wacker said.
