SUPERGIRL, DOOM PATROL & More New DC REBIRTH Books in SEPTEMBER

The birth of the DC Young Animals line, more DC Comics Rebirth number ones and the first big crossover of DC Rebirth in the Batman family of books.

Here are big highlights of what’s coming from DC this September:

Doom Patrol #1 by Gerard Way and Nick Derington hailed as “a blenderized reimagining of the ultimate series of the strange, Doom Patrol combines elements from the classic runs, new directions and things that could not be.”

“Our entry point is Casey Brinke, a young EMT on the graveyard shift to abstract enlightenment, with a past so odd that she’s not entirely sure what is real and what is not. Along with her partner, Sam Reynolds, the pair blaze a path though the city with its denizens, finding the only  that exists at 3am is the chaos of the brain. When the pair answer a hit-and-run call, they find themselves face to face with a familiar figure: Cliff Steele, aka Robotman.

The new book will include classic team members Flex Mentallo, Niles Caulder, Negative Man and Crazy Jane. The is the first title in debut of DC’s Young Animals line announced earlier this year at Emerald City Comicon.

Batman Beyond: Rebirth #1 Dan Jurgens and Ryan Sook starring Terry McGinnis and set six months after events of Batman Beyond #16.

Blue Beetle #1 Keith Giffen and Scott Kolins with Jaime Reyes and a warning from Doctor Fate (Kent Nelson)

Cyborg: Rebirth #1, Cyborg #1 by John Semper Jr. with Paul Pelletier, Sandra Hope, Tony Kordos and Will Conrad.

Supergirl #1 Steve Orlando and Brian Ching Reigh of the Cyborg Superman begins. Kara face to face with her father: Cyborg Superman.

Teen Titans: Rebirth #1 by Benjamin Percy and Jonboy Meyers. Damian Wayne recruits Starfire, Beast Boy, Raven and the new Kid Flash against Ra’s Al Ghul.

Trinity #1 Francis Manapul Better Together begins with Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman against a new threat and uncovering “what forces launched their heroic careers.”

Gotham Academy: Second Semester #1 by Brenden Fletcher, Becky Cloonan and Karl Kerschl with all-new storyline.

Raven #1 by Marv Wolfman and Alisson Borges reveals what happens to Raven between Teen Titans #24 and Teen Titans: Rebirth #1.

Frostbite #1 a new sci-fi limited series by Joshua Williamson and Jason Shawn Alexander.

Action Comics #963 Who is Clark Kent? New arc begins with the mysterious new Clark out to prove he’s not Superman.

Night of the Monster Men crossover in Batman #7, Nightwing #5, Detective Comics #941 by Steve Orlando, Tom King, Tim Seeley and James Tynion IV.
