The team’s first mission in the DC Rebirth era turns deadly and the body count piles as the new version of the all-villain team lives up to it’s deadly reputation.
A huge A-List super villain makes his DC Rebirth debut with a vengeance..
Who dies?
Which other iconic bad guy makes a killer comeback?
Before we discuss the huge events of The Black Vault, part two here’s a SPOILER ALERT!
If you have not read Suicide Squad #2 stop reading now.
Seriously.
OK.
Here it comes.
There’s one less Rogue in Central City.
It looks like Digger Harkness aka Captain Boomerang is dead.
The current Squad (Rick Flag, Harley Quinn, Deadshot, Killer Croc, Katana and Enchantress) are in an underwater facility after a cosmic artifact in part two of The Black Vault.
Their prize is a portal to the Phantom Zone but on the other end is General Zod who lets loose his laser vision. Harkness is blasted by the Krytonian villain. All that’s left are Captain’s smoking boots and feet.
Is this Flash Rogue really dead?
Could Harkness have escaped to the Zone?
Nick Tarabay played the villain on Arrow. Jai Courtney played Harkness in Suicide Squad and could return for The Flash film.
This week’s issue features a back story recounting Boomerang’s origin as told my Harkness and Waller.
The action picks up next issue with Zod unleashed! Will the Squad fight their way out for will they “Kneel Before Zod!”
