Ant-Man will get a brand new series by writer Nick Spencer (Avengers World, Superior Foes of Spider-Man) and artist Ramon Rosanas.
The new book stars Scott Lang and today Spencer revealed Cassie Lang aka Stature will be part of the story.
“The big news we have to break today is that the dark cloud that has been hanging over Scott Lang will be parting, as Cassie Lang, aka Cassie Lang, is going to be back. You can find that story next week in Avengers World.” Spencer revealed on Marvel.com.
“Scott is getting a second chance to be a dad, but he’s flat broke with no job, so it’s about getting a new lease on life. Cassie is an integral part of what makes Scott unique. ‘Super hero single dad’ was in the first line of my pitch.”
When Lang “died” Cassie became the hero known as Stature in Young Avengers. When the father was reborn, Cassie was killed by Doctor Doom in Avengers: The Children’s Crusade.
Spencer confirmed Darla Deering (Scott’s teammate in FF) will be part of the series.
Paul Rudd will play Lang in the Ant-Man movie coming in 2015. Michael Douglas plays Hank Pym.
