Just how powerful is Darth Vader?
Imagine the Sith Lord alone against a Rebel Alliance onslaught.
Marvel announced the first Star Wars comics crossover at Comic-Con International.
Star Wars: Vader Down #1 will be the standalone issue by Jason Aaron and Kieron Gillen with art by Mike Deodato and Salvador Larroca with covers by Mark Brooks.
The six-part story launching in November then crosses into Star Wars by Aaron and Darth Vader by Gillen.
When Vader crashes on a planet, the Alliance send everybody (Luke, Han, Leia, Chewbacca and more Rebel forces) on a mission to take down the Dark Lord once and for all.
Kieron Gillen said at Marvel Cup O’Joe Comic-Con panel , “we thought we should do something big…Darth Vader facing off against a Rebellion army by himself…that’s the core image.”
Marvel is launching a Chewbacca limited series by Gerry Duggan and Phil Noto in November.
