Just in case you’re not up to speed: Otto Octavius switch bodies with Peter Parker. Doc Ock then killed his old body (with Peter trapped inside!) but Octavius suddenly gained Peter Parker’s memories and life experiences. Otto vowed to be a “Superior” Spider-Man. Part of Pete’s mind was trapped inside his old body so he’s watched Otto kiss Mary Jane and Aunt May and even executed criminals while telling himself he’s a better hero than Parker.
Will Peter reclaim his body, life and career as Marvel’s true friendly neighborhood Spider-Man? Here’s a freaky thought: Peter was Otto’s “guilty conscience” since Superior’s launch. What if Otto is trapped inside Peter Parker’s mind and begins manipulating Spidey?!

Over the weekend at C2E2 Marvel revealed Spider-Man 2099 will appear in the series in September.
