Your friendly neighborhood Spider-Man is back in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
At CinemaCon, Marvel and Sony revealed the title of Spidey’s first solo adventure since the studios reached an agreement over the film future of the hero.
Spider-Man: Homecoming will be released July 17, 2017.
Jon Watts will direct the film starring Tom Holland as Peter Parker/Spider-Man and Marisa Tomei as Aunt May.
Holland will debut as Spider-Man in Captain America: Civil War on May 5.
The title reflects the character’s return to Marvel. The beloved hero has starred in five films for Sony. The studios reached an agreement last year that allowed Spidey to join the Marvel Cinematic Universe and then they would collaborate on Spider-Man solo films.
No word on the villain or other cast but the reboot will feature a younger Peter Parker still in high school.
