SON OF SUPERMAN Begins in June

Superman is a Super Dad when the DC Comics Rebirth begins this June.

The Man of Steel is the new Pa Kent and raising a Super-Son. There’s a mystery man who claims to be Clark Kent. Lex Luthor has become a Superman.

Is the Superman/Wonder Woman romance over as a different relationship dynamic hits home for Kal-El?

DC revealed the official descriptions of the first new issues of the Superman family of books:

Superman Rebirth #1 Peter J. Tomasi and Doug Mahnke and Jaime Mendoza. In this one-shot, Can Superman protect the world while raising a super-son with his wife, Lois Lane?
Now it’s Clark’s turn to be Pa Kent and teach his son what it means to be super, but who is hunting Superman’s son – and why?

Superman #1 The Son of Superman Chapter One by Tomasi and Patrick Gleason.The Last Son of Krypton must decide to help his young son use his new and rapidly increasing abilities, or hide them from the world.

Action Comics #957, 958 Path of Doom begins by Dan Jurgens and Patrick Zircher
Chapter One: Superman returns to Metropolis just in time to meet teh city of tomorrow’s newest protector: Lex Luthor. But it’s not long before these dueling titans meet – the new Clark Kent.
Chapter Two: Luthor and Superman team up to face Doomsday. Jimmy Olsen and the Planet staff try to uncover the truth: who is the man claiming to be Clark Kent.

More Superman themed books coming later as the Rebirth continues:

New Super-Man introduces a Chinese teen as a new Superman by Gene Yuan, Supergirl by Steve Orlando, Superwoman by Phil Jimenez, The Super-Sons starring Jon Kent and Damian Wayne – creative team not revealed. Superman will also appear in Justice League and Trinity with Batman and Wonder Woman.

Tomasi is writing the final New 52 Superman arc: Super League in April and May before reuniting with Batman and Robin artist Patrick Gleason.
