The Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Season Two Finale dropped big hints but now Marvel makes it official: The Secret Warriors make the jump from comics to the show next season.

Agent Skye’s real name and background was exposed last season. Skye (Chloe Bennett) is actually Daisy who gained the power to shake the earth. In a diversion from comics canon, Daisy gained her powers from Terrigenesis exposing her as an Inhuman.

Phil Coulson (Clark Gregg) will assemble a new team to find and help new Inhumans in a story inspired by the books by Brian Michael Bendis and Jonathan Hickman.

In the comics, when Nick Fury could no longer trust any known hero he tracked down the kids in a “caterpillar” program. These were the sons and daughters of heroes and villains who didn’t know they had inherited their parents powers. Fury trained these kids into his Secret Warriors when the shapeshifting Skrulls had infiltrated every team and invaded Earth.
