Marvel announced the artists on the new and first Scarlet Witch ongoing book by writer James Robinson.
The publisher revealed David Aja (Hawkeye) will create covers and Vanesa Del Rey will drawn the premiere issue starring the Avenger on a mission of magic.
Here’s the official description:
“Witchcraft is broken – and the SCARLET WITCH is on a journey across the globe to fix it.
From the back alleys of Manhattan, to the serene Greek Isles, to the bustling streets of Hong Kong, Wanda will have to face down her foes and find out who her true friends are. But as Wanda solves magical crimes and pieces witchcraft back together, the most important question remains: Who is the mastermind that broke it in the first place?”
“She wants to fix it, because it’s important to her as a witch,” Robinson said in an earlier interview, “But [she] also [needs to] discover how it was broken, and if someone broke it, who that was. Also, she suffered from periods of mental instability, and she wants to know if that’s something that she needs to treat herself with the established ways that you treat mental illness, or if the practice of witchcraft is affecting her mentally as well. She has a personal stake, as well as a sense of wanting to fix it in the big picture.”
Scarlet Witch #1 arrives in December.
