Rick Remender teases the role Sabretooth will play in Avengers and X-Men: AXIS:
“Creed is drawn into this for reasons that are at first entirely selfish, but finds himself in a situation much like the situation that Logan was in years ago where the blood on his hands and the memories of what he has done are no longer sitting well,” Remender told Marvel.com. “And he is now faced with seeing the world in a different light and also seeing what he has done in a different light, and desperately wanting to erase the past but seeing that the only way he has to do that is to try and do something positive moving forward. Whether or not he succeeds, of course, will remain to be seen.”
Victor Creed sort of joined the X-Men before in Wolverine’s absence. Sabretooth was actually Professor X’s patient/prisoner and Creed fought with the team during that period in the 90’s.
Death of Wolverine continues this month.
Avengers and X-Men: AXIS begins in October.
