Robin War #1 is unleashed in Gotham City.

This one-shot by Tom King marked the return of The Court of Owls and reunion for Damian Wayne, Jason Todd, Tim Drake and Dick Grayson.

As readers quickly learned – this story is more than a battle between all the heroes who carry the famous name…it’s a war on Robins by a secret enemy.

Robin War could mean the end for the kids of We Are Robin all tied to a government act that could have an impact on all heroes of entire DC Universe.

Young vigilantes dressed as Robin are taking the law into their own hands but one teen’s deadly mistake leads to a government crackdown and sets the the crossover in motion.

A member of the We Are Robin accidentally shoots a Gotham City Police officer while trying to stop a robber in a convenience store. Residents, police and media are in a fury of angry debate when slick politicians act swift.

The Gotham City Council enacts The Robin Laws giving them authority in all police actions related to any matter connected to the movement. Police are unleashed to arrest all members of the movement and even any teen wearing something even similar to the trademark Robin colors or costume.

Councilwoman Noctua is the politician who got The Robin Laws passed but the real power behind her is The Court of Owls. Noctua did the Court’s bidding so she could get her mask.

Who can say the real world influences on the story but the arrest of Duke Thomas simply for the color of his red shoes makes you think of racial profiling.

Robin War is a crossover in all the “Robin” titles but could the impact of The Robin Laws expand behind Gotham City?

Remember Civil War (at DC’s Marvel-ous competitor) started with inexperienced teenagers partly causing the deaths of innocents leading to the Superhero Registration Act.

Dick has been a spy working for Spyral in Grayson but he’s really a double agent trying to uncover a conspiracy against all costumes heroes. Could The Court of Owls and Spyral be working together and The Robin Laws be just the start of a government crackdown on all costumes heroes?
