The epic tale of the 21st century Batman and Robin takes an Apokaliptic twist this week in Robin Rises: Omega #1.
That’s no misspelling above. The forces of Darkseid’s homeworld get into the deadly family fight between Batman and Ra’s Al Ghul.
Is Damian Wayne really about to be resurrected?
When Damian died in Batman, Incorporated, Bruce’s story of guilt, loss, grief and anger continued in Batman and Robin by Peter Tomasi and Patrick Gleason. This team book became a team-up book as guest stars joined Bruce in his search for Damian’s body and the search to bring him back.
The hunt for Robin is over. Bruce’s war with Ra’s Al Ghul is far from over in tomorrow’s one-shot: Robin Rises: Omega #1. by Tomasi and artist Andy Kubert.
Writer Peter Tomasi says his plans for the reunion “starts and ends with a bang and everything that occurs in this epic story all has seeds that Pat Gleason and I planted back during our first arc in Batman and Robin: Born to Kill” in an earlier interview with The Los Angeles Times Hero Complex.
The story picks up in Batman and Robin #33, with Bruce vs. the Justice League as the Dark Knight decides to follow the Chaos Shard back to its source: Apokolips.
