Marvel and Netflix announced Rachael Taylor will join the upcoming AKA Jessica Jones series.
Taylor will play Patricia “Trish” Walker described as “a syndicated radio talk show host, former model and child TV star known to her adoring fans as “Patsy” Walker. As Jessica Jones’ closest friend, Trish helps her embark on the most dangerous case of Jessica’s career.”
The character of Patsy Walker goes back to before Marvel was Marvel in Miss America Magazine, and later in comics she became costumed crime fighter known as Hellcat.
Hellcat was briefly an Avenger, a Defender, Marvel Divas and recently Hellcat was working as an investigator for Jennifer Walters in She-Hulk but we’re always asking Marvel to raise Hellcat to a bigger role in comics.
No official word on if Taylor may suit up as Hellcat.
Earlier this week Marvel announced David Tennant will play the villain known as the Purple Man on the series. Krysten Ritter is playing the title hero and Mike Colter will be Luke Cage.
