Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice is box-office history and the foundation for the DC Comics movie universe is set with ten more films in the works.

DC and Warner Brothers plan to keep two superhero films coming each year through 2020. Director Zack Snyder is starting production on Justice League, Part One while Gal Gadot is filming Wonder Woman.

The X-Men movie universe is mutating.

X-Men: Apocalypse may be the final film for the First Class cast. Deadpool broke the rules and broke box-office records. A Gambit standalone is still in the cards. Producer Simon Kinberg gave an update on a New Mutants spinoff film.

Don’t call them X-Babies. The New Mutants could be the next evolution of Fox’s X-Men film franchise.

In the comics the New Mutants were a new generation of teens training (Karma, Mirage, Cannonball, Wolfsbane, Sunspot) at the Xavier School that Professor Xavier recruited when he thought his team had died in action.

Magik (the younger sister of Colossus), Magma, Cypher, Boom Boom, Skids, Rusty Collins and an alien named Warlock later joined the kids. A younger Kitty Pryde called the students X-Babies. Josh Boone (The Fault in Our Stars) is writing the script. Kinberg was asked about the status and tone of the spinoff: Continue reading NEW MUTANTS Is X-MEN With “YOUNG ADULT VIBE”
