Finn Jones plays Danny Rand in Iron Fist, the final new series before Marvel Netflix heroes, Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage will team up as The Defenders.
Rand is an American orphan adopted by mentors in the mystical city of K’un L’un where he grows up to become a martial arts master and gain the power of the Iron Fist. In the comics Iron Fist teamed up with Luke Cage (aka Power Man) as the Heroes for Hire. But that’s another Netflix series (fingers crossed!)

An Oscar-winning star is joining the impressive roster of actors in Marvel Studios’ “Black Panther.”
Marvel announced Forest Whitaker has joined the cast of the standalone film picking up after T’Challa’s cinematic introduction in “Captain America: Civil War.”
Actors Daniel Kaluuya, Winston Duke, and Florence Kasumba will join a lineup including Chadwick Boseman as T’Challa, ruler of Wakanda, and Michael B. Jordan as villain Erik Killmonger, plus Lupita Nyong’o as Nakia and Danai Gurira as Okoye, members of the fierce Dora Milaje.
Whitaker (“”Rogue One: A Star Wars Story,” Roots,” Lee Daniels’ “The Butler,” “The Last King of Scotland”) will play the role of Zuri, an elder stateman in Wakanda. Whitaker appears in this year’s “Rogue One: A Star Wars Story” as fringe Rebel leader Saw Gerrera, and he’ll be seen in “The Forgiven” as famed activist Archbishop Desmond Tutu.
Kasumba will reprise her “Captain America: Civil War” role as Ayo, a member of the Dora Milaje. Kaluuya (“Skins,” “Black Mirror,” “Sicario”) will play T’Challa confidant W’Kabi. Batwoman will be starring in her own series again in 2017.
DC Comics announced writer Marguerite Bennett (DC Comics Bombshells) and artist Steve Epting will launch a new ongoing book starring Kate Kane.
BATWOMAN: REBIRTH arrives in February, with BATWOMAN #1 in March.
Fans can currently see Batwoman co-star with the Dark Knight in Detective Comics by James Tynion IV as co-leaders of a “Batman Boot Camp” training a team of Gotham’s young vigilante heroes including Spoiler, Cassandra Cain, Tim Drake and Nightwing.
Bennett and Tynion will co-write the first arc and prelude story in Detective Comics this January.
The new book will mark Steve Epting’s first work for DC in more than fifteen years.
