Paul Cornell comes back to Marvel in a big way! Cornell and legendary artist Alan Davis launch a brand new Wolverine #1.

Logan is an X-Man, Avenger, Headmaster. For his reputation as a loner the hero may actually be a super “people” person.

How will Wolverine’s friends and allies play roles in the series

“He likes people. He’s actually a very strange creature. He chooses to keep himself grounded and involved with human beings, to be both an effectively immortal mutant with additional military implants, and this guy who likes bars and beer,” Cornell tells Marvel.com,

I think [he sees] them as fellow professionals, people who do the same job he does. “Hero” would be a difficult word for most of them. He takes responsibility, I think, and he likes the company of others who do the same, particularly Continue reading WOLVERINE and His Avenging Friends!

Uncanny X-Force is the nasty, edgy wild child of the X-Men books in the Marvel Now. Sam Humphries and Ron Garney weave three story threads into one wicked tapestry and one hell of a cliffhanger in Uncanny X-Force #2.

Here’s what you need to know:

Logan sends Psylocke and Storm (now sporting a mohawk and new post-annulment attitude) on a mission to investigate a bizarre new drug and the mysterious dealer in Los Angeles. Betsy and Ororo encounter Puck (of Alpha Flight) as their contact and the six-armed teleporting sorceress Spiral!

Psylocke’s ex has found the perfect new lover and partner-in-crime, himself! Fantomex is in love with his own female clone. If that’s not weird enough for you Continue reading X-Man Possessed in UNCANNY X-FORCE

Boy falls from stars.

Meets girl.

Boy goes back to stars.

Girl has their kid.

Cue evil aliens.

Peter Quill is a hero Marvel hopes you will learn to love as much as Tony Stark or Steve Rogers. In this week’s Guardians of the Galaxy #0.1 Brian Michael Bendis and Steve McNiven introduce us the young man who will become Star-Lord in a prelude story I loved.

Guardians of the Galaxy and Star-Lord are old concepts that have been reworked with some degrees of success over the years. Bendis and McNiven inject the Star-Lord mythos with excitement, fresh energy and feeling. This is not a Star-Lord story. This is the story of Continue reading Before He Was A Guardian of the Galaxy
