Set in the aftermath of the Battle of New York in The Avengers, Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. is fun ride for the hard-core comic book reader, fan of the cinema series and you just want a thrill and humor filled escape into the unknown.

An ordinary man (J. August Richards) with super powers saves a life and becomes a target of an annoying computer expert and the super spy agency from Iron Man, Thor and The Avengers movies. Continue reading MARVEL’S AGENTS OF S.H.I.E.L.D. Review

Can’t wait for the next episode of Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. after this week’s blockbuster premiere?

The television series inspired by The Avengers movie could mark the first appearance of some classic heroes, villains and spies from the comic books.

You’ve seen them as supporting players in Fantastic Four and Avengers saga but the Inhumans are going big time at Marvel!

How big? Matt Fraction and Joe Madureira big. Their own event and series big.

We’ll know a lot more after the events of Infinity #4 but at Rose City Comic Con this past weekend writer Matt Fraction explained that Inhumanity is a status quo and not an event like the Dark Reign followed Secret Invasion.

Still wondering how big? Here’s what Fraction told fans in a Marvel.com: Continue reading INHUMANS Go Big with Matt Fraction

While the Avengers are away the villains will play!

In Infinity Earth’s Mightiest Heroes are in space fighting off an alien army while a team of Mighty Avengers has stepped up against an invasion by Thanos.

This week Infinity Heist begins with team of small time super criminals (at least when compared to Thanos!) go for a big score amid the cosmic level chaos.

The universe may be threatened but as writer Frank Tieri explains, that won’t stop this shady cast of characters from taking advantage.

Avengers #20 courtesy MarveWho said there was only one!?

Jonathan Hickman’s Avengers arc began with Earth’s Mightiest Heroes taking on Ex Nihilo on Mars. In the final prelude to Infinity issue Captain America recruited Ex Nihilo and his twisted sister Abyss to join the Avengers against the Builders.

As Infinity rocked the Marvel Universe we learned there were “other” Ex Nihilos.  This week in Avengers #20 it’s a meeting of the strange aliens on opposite sides of the war. Continue reading INFINITY AVENGERS #20 Preview

Kang Time Uncanny Avengers

Uncanny Avengers #12 is packed with even more evil promising the origin of the Apocalypse Twins, Kang’s endgame revealed and an unholy pact between the Red Skull and…Ahab.

Yes, the ruthless mutant hunter from the future joins Rick Remender’s time twisted epic.

One of the big reasons I’m sharing this story is because celebrated artist Salvador Larroca (X-Men, Invincible Iron Man and currently Cable and X-Force) penciled this week’s issue focusing on Kang the Conqueror. Continue reading Kang Time Uncanny Avengers
