THE WOLVERINE Sequel Comic Based

Director James Mangold is working on a potential sequel to The Wolverine. Hugh Jackman’s latest solo X-Man film was based upon the classic limited series by Chris Claremont and Frank Miller. While discussing the upcoming extended edition of the movie, the director says the sequel will also take inspiration from comic book stories.

“Absolutely. I can tell you that in determining where we are going I’m not solely relying on my own imagination but also the imaginations that have spun great stories about Wolverine in the comics,” Mangold told I Am Rogue.

AVENGERS: AGE OF ULTRON It’s Official

After months of speculation and hints Marvel makes it official.

Aaron Taylor-Johnson and Elizabeth Olsen are joining the cast of Avengers: Age of Ultron as Pietro and Wanda Maximoff (aka) Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch. The mutant children of Magneto were introduced in the X-Men comic books as villains but reformed and joined Earth’s Mightiest Heroes. Quicksilver has the power of superspeed while Scarlet Witch has a mutant “hex” power in which she can alter probabilities. Later in the comics, she studies witchcraft. SAVAGE WOLVERINE by Phil Jimenez

One of my favorite creators is takes on the ultimate X-Man. Phil Jimenez draws and writes a two-part story kicking off in Savage Wolverine #12 out this Wednesday.

The fan-favorite artist has amazing runs with Grant Morrison on New X-Men and Warren Ellis on Astonishing X-Men.

Jimenez told Marvel.com how the story is based on an issue from way back in the Chris Claremont era.

DOCTOR WHO Celebration at EMP Museum

A fan filled celebration of an adventure in time and space! Hundreds of Whovians packed the EMP Museum in Seattle for the Doctor Who Celebration. The iconic science fiction television series is celebrating its 50th Anniversary.

The BBC’s global broadcast of The Day of the Doctor 50th Anniversary special hit the U.S. West Coast around lunchtime so Pacific Northwest Whovians had plenty of time to get their best scarf, bow-tie, fez or stone makeup and journey to the pop culture showcase in Seattle. INFINITY Finale Week

A HUGE week for Marvel fans as Infinity comes to a showdown between Earth’s Mightiest Heroes and the forces of Thanos!

While the Avengers were saving the Universe from the Builders, Thanos and his Black Order seized control of Earth in order to find the Mad God’s son.
