Inhumanity exploded across planet Earth changing the human race.

During Infinity Black Bolt took extreme measures to stop Thanos. He detonated a Terrigen bomb triggering long dormant alien genes in the human race. Now ordinary humans have extraordinary powers and appearances. The world thinks Black Bolt is dead. Attilan (the Inhumans floating city) lies in ruins.

What will happen to Medusa, Crystal and the Royal Family?

This week Marvel releases Inhumanity #1 by Matt Fraction and Olivier Coipel. This is just the beginning as the one-time supporting players in Fantastic Four and Avengers stories become the dominant force in the Marvel Universe.

As you reel from this week’s epic conclusion to Marvel’s Infinity event I’m inspired to have as our Friday Flashback an earlier classic clash between Earth’s Mightiest Heroes and Thanos.

Writer Jim Starling, artists George Perez and Ron Lim gave us The Infinity Gauntlet back in 1991 in which the entire Marvel Universe took on the Mad God of Titan.

Thanos seized the Infinity Gems (also known as the Soul Gems) and assembled them on a gauntlet – this cosmic weapon gave him the power of  God. As a gift to Death (who Thanos worships) he wipes out half the lives in the universe with a snap of a finger including many Marvel heroes. Continue reading INFINITY GAUNTLET Flashback

“Nobody dies,” said Wolverine.

Ironic that those orders came from Logan.

The time-twisting, multiple super villain packed epic reached what might be the biggest WTF moment of the year! Let’s just make a new acronym: WTFRR?

Rick Remender again shows why he’s one of the most ambitious, relentless and crazy comic book writers out there in Uncanny Avengers #14 which just hit shelves and is blowing minds.

Artist Steve McNiven joins Remender for this pivotal chapter of Ragnarok Now and captures every brutal fight, cosmic effect and most importantly, the emotional moments, especially Wolverine in a brutal confrontation with his resurrected son Daken.

Let’s recap:

An Avengers Unity Squad was formed to heal the bad blood between Earth’s Mightiest Heroes and mutants after Avengers vs X-Men.

The Red Skull was reborn and stole Professor X’s brain. This was my review/reaction to the premiere issue. Continue reading Avengers, X-Men Deaths In UNCANNY AVENGERS?
