Favorite Writer:

Jonathan Hickman

Hard to narrow down but it came to to these four Words: Avengers, New Avengers, Infinity!

I have never loved Avengers the way I’m loving the team right now. Steve and Tony expanded the roster to create an Avengers World but threats from across the universe and multiverse tested Earth’s Mightiest Heroes. Continue reading Best Comics of 2013 Favorite Writer

Looking back at women in the pages and behind the comics of 2013. Here’s a salute to three breakout new heroines of the year:

Forever Carlyle

One of my favorite new characters and books of 2013. Forever Carlyle is a creation of Greg Rucka and Michael Lark in Lazarus from Image Comics. “When Edgar Wright came to us with the idea of Paul Rudd, we felt a huge sense of relief because the first step in creating any Marvel Studios film is finding the right star,” Continue reading Paul Rudd as ANT-MAN

Superior Spider-Man!

How do you celebrate 700 issues of Amazing Spider-Man? Have your hero’s identity’s stolen by his greatest enemy!

Dan Slott and the Spider-team pulled off one of the greatest shocks of 2012: Otto Octavius had switched bodies with Peter Parker! It was Peter trapped in the dying body of Dr. Octopus for nearly a year. Just when you thought the good guy would prevail – Continue reading Best of 2013 Biggest Risk

James McAvoy says he’s on board for what will be his third X-Men film. The actor reprises his X-Men: First Class role as the young Professor Charles Xavier in the upcoming X-Men: Days of Future Past.

In an interview with Red Carpet News, McAvoy says he’ll be back for what’s teased as X-Men Apocalypse 2016 and how he keeps to “reinventing Charles Xavier” with each film. Continue reading James McAvoy in X-MEN Apocalypse
