The web of Spider-Man is getting bigger as Sony bets on the webslinger’s universe of villains.
“We are expanding the ‘Spider-Man’ universe into ‘The Sinister Six’ and ‘Venom,’ so that we have ‘Spider-Man’ movies every year,” says Sony co-chair Amy Pascal in a new Variety story.
The Amazing Spider-Man 2 opens May 2nd. Peter Parker (Andrew Garfield) takes on Electro, Rhino but Harry Osborn (Dane DeHaan) will transform into the Green Goblin and not to mention Harry Osborn (Chris Cooper) may or may not an off-camera nemesis. B.J. Novak has been revealed as Alistair Smythe, creator of the Spider-Slayer robots.
