Spinning out of All-New X-Men, the younger and more innocent original Scott Summers is charting out a new course for himself in Cyclops #1 by Greg Rucka. The young Scott learned his father was alive in The Trial of Jean Grey. Now Cyclops will join Corsair and Starjammers in outer space adventures while catching up on long-lost father/son time. Anna Paquin reprised her role as Rogue in X-Men: Days of Future Past. Then came rumors the fan-favorite mutant was cut from the film and now she may have a cameo.

 

Producer Simon Kinberg took questions at WonderCon this past weekend about the upcoming film. Kinberg tells CraveOnline about the Rogue storyline that might have been:

Morena Baccarin is a shining sci-fi star among a galaxy of celebrity guests appearing at Fan Expo Vancouver this weekend. Fans packed a ballroom Friday evening for the chance to ask questions with Baccarin and lined up today for autographs and to express their endless devotion to Firefly.

 

After Firefly the series and Serenity the movie Baccarin went on to roles on V, Stargate S.G. One and the acclaimed drama Homeland. After playing the heroine Inara she left the Firefly ship to invade Earth as the evil Anna on V.  I asked if the shift to the dark side of sci-fi was on purpose.
