SCOTT SNYDER Teases “Bombastic” Story After BATMAN ZERO YEAR

The Zero Year finale is coming this month. Scott Snyder and Greg Capullo’s  origin story the Dark Knight in The New 52 wraps up in Batman #33. The Riddler defeated the Dark Knight and turned Gotham City into a nightmare city under his control. After taking on the Joker in Death of the Family and the Ridder, Snyder was asked about what more he could unleash on Bruce and the battle-worn city he fights to protect.

SPIDER-MAN 2099 Begins Again

Spider-Man 2099 comes out slinging in his own solo series this week. Peter David (All-New X-Factor) created Miguel O’Hara back in the 1990’s as part of Marvel’s 2099 line (which included X-Men, Punisher and Doom 2099.)

 

In the pages of Superior Spider-Man – O’Hara landed in our present day last year. Now Miguel i is stranded in the past but determined to fix the future. David is spinning new stories of the future Spidey with artist Will Sliney (Fearless Defenders) with covers by Simone Bianchi.

 

Acclaimed writer Peter David explains why he reunited with the breakout hero he created nearly two decades ago:

RICK REMENDER On ALL-NEW CAPTAIN AMERICA

Marvel teased an all-new Captain America. Today writer Rick Remender shares details on the new role for Steve Rogers and more on the hero who will carry the shield.

 

The Super Soldier Serum is out of Rogers body and he’s now a frail man who looks and feels his actual age. Rogers is physically weaker than ever while the Red Skull is more powerful than ever (after stealing Professor X’s brain in Uncanny Avengers.)

BRANDON ROUTH Joins ARROW As ATOM

Brandon Routh (Superman Returns) will play another DC Comics superhero. Routh will join the cast of Arrow as scientist Ray Palmer (The Atom) next season according to TV Line.

 

The report says Palmer will be the new owner of Oliver Queen’s family corporation and a possible love interest for Felicity Smoak. Palmer is a scientist with the ability to grow and shrink his body and other objects. Continue reading BRANDON ROUTH Joins ARROW As ATOM

DOMINO Rejoins X-FORCE

Domino is back!

 

The luck powered mutant mercenary is blasting her way into X-Force #7 this week.

 

Domino was part of Cable and X-Force before the reboot into X-Force by Simon Spurrier and Rock He-Kim. She didn’t make the cut when two books ended and the rebirth of a one and only X-Force.

 

 

Cable, Psylocke, Fantomex and Marrow have taken on the superhuman arms dealer Volga. Cable’s team is barely surviving the war against their new enemy and each other as tension build among the tightly wound unit.

The former Robin and Nightwing gives us the masks and code-names for a new role in the DC Comics Universe: Super Spy

 

The world believes Richard Grayson is dead after the events of the Forever Evil event series. In the James Bond film You Only Live Twice, 007 was killed off so he could go undercover. In the final issue of Nightwing, Dick accepted a new mission from Bruce Wayne: infiltrate a covert organization that may be a threat to DC’s costumed heroes and the world. Cullen Bunn (Deadpool, Magneto, Sinestro) is adding another villain/anti-hero to his impressive resume.

 

DC Comics is launching a new Lobo ongoing series by Bunn and artist Reilly Brown according to Comic Book Resources.
