The first big comic book event of 2015 is almost here…with cosmic level consequences or two big franchises.

Guardians of the Galaxy and X-Men: The Black Vortex Alpha arrives this week.

The first chapter is a huge bookend issue by Sam Humphries (Legendary Star-Lord) and Ed McGuinness. The crossover will lead into Guardians of the Galaxy, All-New X-Men, Cyclops, Captain Marvel and Nova.

Chris Pratt may have lost his Super Bowl bet with Chris Evans and is headed to Boston but he can take a little comfort in knowing he’ll headline a sure-fire summer blockbuster.

Marvel announced Secret Wars: Battleworld, a tie-in limited series with outrageous match-ups where the impossible becomes possible.

“You want to see the 1602 version of Punisher fight the 2099 version of Iron Man? Muskets versus the 1990’s version of the future! We can even have the same characters from different worlds fight. Marvel revealed Ultimate Spider-Man original team Brian Michael Bendis and Mark Bagley will deliver Ultimate End – a five-part limited series tied to Secret Wars.
