DC Comics gives Harley Quinn fans an early Valentine’s Day present. It’s the first serving of a  double dose of love this month.

The publisher just announced a new Harley Quinn/Power Girl ongoing as one of 24 new books coming in June.

Amanda Conner and Jimmy Palmiotti will co-write the new team-up book and this month give us two tales of mad love starring the anti-heroines.

The Avengers are no more when Secret Wars begins this May.

Long live A-Force!

Marvel announced a brand new book starring an all-female Avengers team within Secret Wars Warzones.

A-Force will be co-written G. Willow Wilson and Marguerite Bennett with artist Jorge Molina delivers a powerhouse team from across Marvel groups.

“She-Hulk, Dazzler, Medusa, Nico Minoru and other fan favorites, will take charge,” said Wilson. “We’ve purposefully assembled a team composed of different characters from disparate parts of the Marvel U, with very different power sets, identities and ideologies.” Continue reading MOST WANTED WOMEN For A-FORCE

After months of speculating the future of Robin is definitely more exiting and maybe a little more clear after DC Comics big announcement.

After all DC books take a break in April and May for the Convergence event, 24 new books will launch including Robin, Son of Batman and We Are Robin in June. We also know which books are not coming back after hiatus including Batman and Robin. Writer Peter J. The Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. winter finale was earth and fan shattering.

Agent Skye was revealed as Daisy Johnson aka Quake and the existence of Inhumans in the Marvel Cinematic/Television Universe.

Marvel shared a new trailer for what’s next when Agents of SHIELD returns via IGN.

This comes after the announcement of a new Inhuman characters joining the story but the big question for fans of Skye and other humans exposed:

Assemble the A-Force!

Marvel announced its first all-female Avengers team on The View and via Mashable.

The roster will be She-Hulk, Dazzler, Medusa, Nico Minoru and others including a new superhero: a cosmically powered woman named Singularity.

A-Force will be co-written by Marvel exclusive writer G. Willow Wilson (Ms. Marvel) and Marguerite Bennett (Angela: Asgard’s Assassin, Lois Lane one-shot) with veteran X-Men artist Jorge Molina.

GEOFF JOHNS SUPERMAN GOODBYE

DC Comics Chief Creative Officer Geoff Johns made a major announcement following a long-awaited, status changing chapter of Superman this week.

Johns announced Superman #39 would be his last on the book. This week’s issue saw Kal-El demonstrate a new power, debut a new costume and reveal his identity to a longtime supporting cast member.
