One of the most anticipated movies of the year inspires a comic book collection of all-star creators from Vertigo.
Legendary director George Miller unleashes Mad Max: Fury Road this summer and collaborates with an incredible roster of artists to tell stories about the apocalyptic adventure.

Vertigo, the innovative, boundary-pushing imprint of DC Entertainment, will collaborate with Mad Max: Fury Road director, producer and co-writer George Miller on two upcoming projects based on the film. The first is a Deluxe Edition hardcover entitled MAD MAX: FURY ROAD: INSPIRED ARTISTS, in which sixty-five top artists will create art inspired by the world of Mad Max: Fury Road. The second is four comic book stories that follow four main characters of the film and tell their prelude stories leading up to the film’s opening scene. Big changes are coming from DC Comics this summer. The publisher announced 24 new books in June including new solo series starring Black Canary and Starfire plus more Harley Quinn each month.
The new books follow the successful relaunch of Batgirl and trend of female heroes taking the lead in their own titles.
The Marvel and Sony Pictures Spider-Man deal shakes up the superhero movie schedule. The new Spidey will likely make his first appearance in Captain America: Civil War then star in a new solo film co-produced by Sony with Kevin Feige’s Marvel Studios team. The Spider-Man film led to Marvel rescheduling four films.
The studio takes fans to nearly the top of the world for the first behind the scenes look of the the 24th 007 film.
Daniel Craig returns as Bond for fourth time with director Sam Mendes back to direct after the critical and billion dollar success of the last adventure, Skyfall.
We see what will be a “crown jewel” action sequence in the film being shot in the stunning mountains of Austria.
We see Craig in action and hear from Bond girl Lea Seydoux, villain Dave Bautista and key personnel who help create 007’s adventure.
The X-Men have fought Sentinels, Brotherhoods of Evil Mutants, Brood and hate-mongering crusaders but the Children of the Atom face pure evil way back in Inferno.
It was mutants vs. demons with the souls of their friends at stake as a satanic army took over Manhattan.

Here’s a quick recap: Spidey will first appear in a Marvel Universe film. Sony will then release a new Spider-Man movie July 28, 2017 co-produced by Marvel Studios Kevin Feige and his team with Amy Pascal, who has overseen the Spider-Man franchise since 1999.
Sony and Marvel will collaborate on a “new direction” for Spidey.
Marvel and Sony are “exploring opportunities to integrate Marvel Comics Universe characters into future Spider-Man films.”
Sony is looking to “go back to Spidey’s roots and put the character back in high school” which would mean a new actor in the role according to Variety. The report claims Sony is moving ahead with a spinoff starring the Sinister Six and film that features a female hero from the Spider-Verse.
The latest version of X-Force comes to a close with a major showdown. Cable and his squad take the fight to their teammate turned enemy Fantomex in issue 15 this week. Si Spurrier has a track record of X-books starring the most out there mutants among a race of outcasts including X-Club, X-Men Legacy with Legion and Blindfold and the nearly departed X-Force.
As Spurrier discussed the final mission briefing one fan asked about a character dear to our hearts: Domino.
