When does a haircut make comics buzz?

When it’s Oscar winner Jared Leto chopping his long locks for his upcoming role as the Joker in Suicide Squad.

Director David Ayer revealed Leto’s new look via Twitter with #SuicideSquad.

A previous post revealed scissors to the ponytail asking, “Should we?”

Leto will play the Clown Prince of Crime in the upcoming film starring DC Comics villains working as covert government operatives.

More DC Heroes for ARROW/FLASH Spinoff

The CW network’s roster of DC heroes and villains is about to get even bigger.

Producers of Arrow and The Flash are planning a spinoff featuring characters from both shows according to Deadline.

Brandon Routh as Ray Palmer aka The Atom, Victor Garber who played Dr. Martin Stein of Firestorm, Wentworth Miller as Captain Cold and Caity Lotz as Sara Lance/Black Canary will be in the cast.

BATMAN ETERNAL The Final Five

The final lap in the year-long mystery by an all-star team begins this week in Batman Eternal #48, the first of this month’s final five chapters.

It all began with Batman captured by a mystery villain tied to the Bat Signal with a knife to his ribs while Gotham City burns around him.

Scott Snyder and James Tynion IV are the show runners of the epic. The story has featured nearly every member of the Batman cast from Bane to Vicky Vale with multiple stories leading up to the showdown with the mastermind. Kate Bishop returns to Clint Barton’s side but as Lemire explains the ward shares top billing with her mentor.

“To me Kate is an equal to Clint in terms of who is the ‘star’ of the book is. It’s equal billing. It will be as much Kate’s story as it is Clint’s.

Earth’s Mightiest Heroes are assembling as Marvel unveils character posters for Avengers: Age of Ultron.

Samuel L. Jackson first shared the posters for Nick Fury, Thor (Chris Hemsworth) and Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson) via Twitter.

Earlier this week Robert Downey Jr revealed the Iron Man poster and teased a big announcement followed by Mark Ruffalo sharing the Hulk poster.

The heroes will take on an army of robots controlled by the evil A.I. Ultron – a Tony Stark invention gone wrong.

Former SUPERMAN & SUPERGIRL Join SUPERGIRL TV Pilot

Producers of the new Supergirl pilot are reaching into the past for their future series.

Dean Cain and Helen Slater will join the CBS pilot in mystery roles according to Deadline. Cain played the Man of Steel in Lois and Clark: The New Adventure of Superman. Slater played Kara in the 1984 Supergirl movie.

Melissa Benoist is playing Kara in the new series. Mehcad Brooks is playing Jimmy Olsen, her love interest. Calista Flockhart will be playing Cat Grant, Kara’s boss in a multimedia company. David Harewood and Chyler Leigh are reportedly in the cast.
