It was a modern take on mutants with X-Men in leather, freaky new students and when Emma Frost officially joined the team.

Writer Grant Morrison and artist Frank Quitely radically evolved the mutants with New X-Men and their first arc E is for Extinction.

Marvel announced the next Secret Wars book: E is For Extinction #1 via Comic Vine.

Morrison’s Batman, Incorporated and Nameless artistic collaborator Chris Burnham will write the tie-in book. Ramon Villalobos will be the artist. Burnham describes the world we jump back into: Continue reading X-MEN: E IS FOR EXTINCTION in SECRET WARS

One of Marvel’s greatest warriors you probably never heard makes a major comeback thanks to superstar writer Jason Aaron (Thor, Wolverine and the X-Men, Original Sin) and artist Mike Del Mundo of Elektra and X-Men Legacy.

Secret Wars: Warzones is taking us back to classic periods of Marvel history but in Weirdworld. Aaron calls it a realm of fantasy and 70’s B-movies filled with barbarians, sorcerers and dragons with one mythic warrior armed with lightning bolts and a big sword to rule them all.

Thor? No, Arkon! Continue reading JASON AARON Resurrects WEIRDWORLD

Way back in the days of Chris Claremont and Jim Lee’s X-Men and Rob Liefeld on New Mutants there was the X-Tinction Agenda.

Imagine the mutants versus an entire nation of hate that enslaved mutants led by a cyborg monster.

The united X-Men, X-Factor and New Mutants defeated Cameron Hodge and the forces of Genosha but the fight went a different way as we’ll see in a  Secret Wars: Warzones tie-in book.

Marvel announced X-Tinction Agenda by Arrow Executive Producer Marc Guggenheim and artist Carmine di Giandomenico this June. Continue reading X-MEN vs X-MEN in X-TINCTION AGENDA
