BLOODSHOT, HARBINGER Comics To Movies

Valiant’s Bloodshot and Harbinger are hitting the big screen.

Valiant Entertainment and Sony Pictures announced a five picture deal according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Bloodshot will be directed by the team behind John Wick: David Leitch and Chad Stahelski, working with a screenplay by Jeff Wadlow (Kick-Ass 2) and Eric Heisserer. Matthew Vaughn and Jason Kothari will act as executive producers. This film is being targeted for 2017.

Heisserer is working on the Harbinger. No word on possible directors.

ADRIANNE PALICKI & NICK BLOOD In AGENTS OF SHIELD Spinoff

Marvel and ABC are reportedly planning a spinoff of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Adrianne Palicki and Nick Blood are in talks to headline the new series according to Deadline.

Palicki joined the cast this season as Barbara “Bobbi” Morse known to comics fans as Mockingbird. Blood played mercenary Lance Hunter. Both characters were new recruits by Phil Coulson and quickly became fan favorites.

Morse started out as Coulson’s mole within Hydra but turns out she’s really working for “the real S.H.I.E.L.D.” a rival unit led by Edward James Olmos. The events of this season and Avengers: Age of Ultron would play into the set-up for Morse and Hunter getting their own series. The woman who helped introduce Star-Lord, Groot, Gamora, Drax and Rocket to the big screen will do the same for the cosmic Avenger.

Marvel makes it official:

Nicole Perlman and Meg LeFauve will write the script for the Captain Marvel movie featuring Carol Danvers.

Perlman co-wrote Guardians of the Galaxy and is scheduled to write a Gamora spinoff comic book. LeFauve wrote the next Disney/Pixar film Inside Out. Continue reading CAPTAIN MARVEL Movie Writers
