Batman Day Returns.

Bruce Wayne is missing and presumed dead and Jim Gordon is the all-new Dark Knight patrolling Gotham City in high-tech armor.

Batman #41 ushered in major changes to the Batman books. Today DC Comics revealed the continuation of an annual celebration of the Dark Knight.

DC Comics shared a first look inside Justice League of America #1

The biggest heroes star in a new tale by legendary creator Bryan Hitch who writes and draws JLA: JUSTICE LEAGUE OF AMERICA #1, with inks by Daniel Henriques, Wade Von Grawbadger, and Andrew Currie.

Issue #1 starts with “The League receiving mysterious invitations to meet at a local power plant. After some speculation they soon realize it’s a trap pinning them up against a classic foe.  Then The League comes up against an armada of aliens heading for Earth that claims to be a peaceful religious tribe. But something sinister is lurking in their ranks…something with ties to ancient Krypton.”

This is a huge month for DC with major relaunches including new looks for Superman and Wonder Woman and someone else in a new Batsuit.

BLACK CANARY Rock and Road Trip Begins

The DC Comics relaunch continues this week with DC power women in new books and new arcs.

Dinah Lance hits the road and rocks out in Black Canary #1. The brand new series by writer Brenden Fletcher (Batgirl, Gotham Academy) and artist Annie Wu (Hawkeye) sees the Bird of Prey become a rock and roll runaway with a band on the the run and conspiracy on her trail.

Earlier this year at Emerald City Comicon, Fletcher said he will re-establish Dinah as one of the most dangerous martial artists in DC Comics calling this new book a “kung fu rock and roll road trip” while she’s on tour with a band and “it all ties back to Dinah’s origins.” Continue reading BLACK CANARY Rock and Road Trip Begins
