Greg Rucka and Marco Chechetto were announced as the creative team behind Star Wars: Shattered Empire.

Now the fan-favorite writer is revealing the characters in his new limited series along with a first look inside the first chapter on StarWars.com.

When you’re young and you see Jedi,” series Rucka tells StarWars.com, “you can look at the happy ending and go, ‘Hey, it’s over!’ But you get older and you start to think about it, and you realize, no it’s not. It’s not over at all.” That’s the basis of Shattered Empire, which follows new characters Kes and main protagonist Shara Bey — husband and wife Rebels — as the struggle for freedom continues. Channing Tatum is back on board with the X-Men spinoff Gambit from Fox director Rupert Wyatt is searching is on for his leading lady.

Rebecca Ferguson, Abbey Lee and Lea Seydoux are the front runners according to Deadline.

Ferguson is currently playing a British agent in Mission Impossible: Rogue Nation. The Swedish actress was the breakout star of the film. We even raved for a spinoff for her character.

Lee stars in Mad Max: Fury Road and upcoming Gods of Egypt and Neon Demon.

Are the Children of the Atom mutating into a live-action television series?

Fox is getting closer to a X-Men television show.

“[For] X-Men, we’re in negotiations with Marvel. We’re hopeful we’ll be able to announce something soon. We’re not closed on a deal yet but it’s something we’re definitely pursuing,” Fox Television Group chairman and CEO Dana Walden told The Hollywood Reporter on at the Television Critics Association’s summer press tour stop.
