As the world waits for SPECTRE, the new James Bond adventure, there’s a new mission from Marvel Comics in 2016 that may lure spy fans into the world of Stark…Tony Stark.

Marvel confirmed a second book starring the Armored Avenger by Brian Michael Bendis who will team up with his Daredevil artist Alex Maleev for International Iron Man.

Maleev called the new book “Bond meets Tony on a speedboat” in a new Marvel interview.

Bendis agreed calling it “a super hero James Bond story.”

Tony chased Madame Masque in the first issue of the new International Iron Man leading to the return of a major villain with a major makeover. More on that below but Tony’s globe-trotting adventures are just beginning. Continue reading STARK Goes BOND in INTERNATIONAL IRON MAN

The spectre of Ian Fleming fills SPECTRE.

In interviews the heirs of Albert R. “Cubby” say their famous father would say always go back to the Fleming books when in doubt about the direction of the 007 film franchise.

EON Productions did just that when they reset the series by hiring Daniel Craig and making a film based on the first Fleming novel, Casino Royale.

As fans eagerly await for SPECTRE, the spirit of Ian Fleming and Albert Broccoli is clear and present in the 24th Bond film. It’s astonishing to think after more than 50 years and all those films there are still elements of Fleming’s books we are seeing for the first time in the film franchise. WORST X-MEN EVER?

We try to keep things positive here but with the announcement of X-Men: Worst X-Man Ever we couldn’t resist to look back at some of the maybe not to popular mutants who made the team…even for a brief membership.

The new X-book by Max Bemis and Michael Walsh will star a new mutant. We don’t know his powers or back story or why he deserves this ominous title but it does make one think: Who are the worst X-Men?

Let’s face it, after decades and dozens of characters, it’s hard for writers and artists to create a new mutant that will take off. We’ve often said, for every Gambit and Rogue….there’s a Maggott and Marrow.

Yet there’s a fan who may love these odd (even for mutants) heroes and want them back.

For your consideration, here are candidates for Worst X-Man ever: Continue reading WORST X-MEN EVER?
