Nick Fury!?

The heroes discovered Fury is an old man now that the Infinity Formula is failing.

Fury confessed his double life.

Apart from his S.H.I.E.L.D. missions, Fury has been a covert operative taking out alien threats to planet Earth. There’s a long trail of dead aliens and monsters in space and inside the planet. Only The Watcher could have seen Fury’s acts.

Original Sin #7 was Marvel’s biggest and baddest heroes vs. old man Nick Fury. He kicked their —–.

Executive Editor Tom Brevoort said it was part of the plan (with Aaron) to show what a bad ass Fury is in a special Marvel liveblog.

“Jason envisioned this fight as being very much like the elderly Dark Knight in Frank Miller’s book taking on Superman–but even more so.”

“Nick is about as dangerous an opponent as it’s possible to have, given how much he knows, his overall experience and skill level, and the lengths to which he’ll go.”

Brevoort promises “you’ll see exactly who killed the Watcher, you’ll get another big, epic battle, and some crazy resolution.”

Is this the last appearance of the original Nick Fury?

Original Sin #8 arrives next Wednesday.
