“Oh man, I had to work out a little bit, too. I’m not a superhero.”
What American audiences may not know is Sy was the first black actor to win the French version of an Oscar for his role in The Intouchables.
“The most important thing for me will be the next time. I want people to get used to black actors winning the Cesar. I don’t want to be the only one.”
Sy as Bishop joins Fan Bing Bing as Blink and Boo Boo Stewart as Warpath as the newest mutants to join the film series.
X-Men: Days of Future Past opens May 23.
